(singing)

We are gonna play Blue's Clues, 'cause that's a really great game! Yeah!

Steve: You ready? Let's go! (about to leave, but quickly stops) Whoops! (chuckles) I forgot we should probably clean this up first. (wipes the pawprint away with a napkin) Now, remember, Blue's pawprints will be on the clues. Blue's Clues. Hey, you know what we need for Blue's Clues? Our handy-dandy...

[Start of song]

Steve: (singing)

We got to find a paw print,

That's the first clue.

We put it in our notebook,

And now what do we do?

Blue's Clues,

Blue's Clues!

Kids: Blue's Clues!

Steve: (singing)

We got to find another paw print,

That's the second clue.

We put it in our notebook,

Now what do we do?

And well, you know what to do!

Blue's Clues,

Blue's Clues!

Kids: Blue's Clues!

Steve: (singing)

Well, we sit down in our Thinking Chair

And think, think, think!

'Cause when we use our minds,

And take a step at a time,

We can do anything...

Steve: That we want to do! (does jazz hands)

[Song ends]

(he continues looking for the straw as he gently pushes the straws in the cup aside and sees it) Aha! (he lifts up the cup and laughs) Well, now, that's about the silliest straw I ever saw. (in realization) Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh! That straw has Blue's pawprints on it! It must be one of...

Kids and Steve: (in unison) Blue's clues!

Steve: You know what to do! We need our handy-dandy...

Child and Steve: (in unison) Notebook!

Steve: (takes out his notebook and starts drawing a straw) Let's see. There's the top, couple of lines, and a little bendy part, two long lines and a stripe down the middle. Hmm, so what does Blue want with her snack? Blue's first clue was a, a...

Chorus: (singing) Mail time, mail time, mail time, mail time, mail time!

[Morgan, Perry and Brent drink their milk]

Kids: (in unison) Bye!

Steve: Bye! (closes the letter) I love snacks, don't you?

[At the same time, Blue appears from behind the Thinking Chair and skidoos into the picture frame of a farm]

Steve: (amazed) Whoa! Did you see that? Blue just went right into that picture of that farm! That's so cool! (looks at the picture frame and then back to the viewers) Hey, I think Blue wants us to follow her. There goes Blue! (singing) Blue's Skidoo, we can too! [Blue barks and jumps off of Steve's head]

Child: Behind you!

Steve: (turns around and sees two large pawprints on the cow eating hay, excitedly) Oh, oh, oh, oh! That cow has Blue’s pawprints all over it! What it must mean that cow is another one of...

Kids and Steve: (in unison) Blue's Clues!

Steve: (runs up to the cow) Hey, do you think Blue wants to drink a cow with her snack?

Child: No.

Steve: Nope.

[The cow moos "nope"]

Steve: Okay, well, this calls for our, handy-dandy... (takes out his notebook)

Kids and Steve: (in unison) Notebook!

Steve: (whistles as he opens his notebook and starts drawing a cow) Okay, we got the cow’s head, a big circle for the body, lines for her legs and tail, the hooves, and then udder, and there’s a cow. (closes his notebook) Great! Hey, now that we have all three clues, that means we’re ready to go back home to our Thinking Chair and figure out what Blue wants with her snack! Great! Let’s go!

[Blue skidoos into the living room, then Steve scats as he skidoos along and sits down in the Thinking Chair]

Steve: Now that we’re in our Thinking Chair, let’s think. (takes out his notebook) So, we need to figure out what Blue wants with her snack. Blue’s clues are a cup.

[An image of a cup pops up in the top left corner]

Steve: A straw...

[An image of a straw pops up in the top center above Steve's head]

Steve: And a cow.

[An image of a cow pops up in the top right corner]

Steve: Hmm, what do you think Blue wants with her snack? Hmm. Oh, oh. Oh, do you think Blue wants to put the cow in a cup and slurp it up with a straw?

[The cow moos loudly]

Child: No.

[Blue shakes her head no while covering her eyes]

Steve: No. Can’t really fit a cow in a cup. Hmm. Well, cows make the sound.

Cow, Steve and Kids: Mooo!

Steve: Right? Cows make (in a low voice) moo sounds. (normal voice) Cows make mmm...

Kids and Steve: (in unison) Milk!

[Blue happily barks as she nods her head]

Steve: (enthusiastically) Yes! Yes, that’s it! Cows make the milk we drink!

[Blue barks happily]

Steve: Yeah, that’s the answer to "Blue’s Clues"! Blue wants milk poured in a cup and she wants to drink it with a straw! We just figured out "Blue’s Clues"!

(singing)

We just figured out Blue's Clues,

We just figured out Blue's Clues,

We just figured out Blue's Clues,

Because we're really smart!

Steve: Hey, Blue, I’m gonna pour some milk in a cup, with a straw right now and you can drink it with your snack! (runs off)

[Blue winks at the viewers and runs over to the table, Steve arrives carrying a tray with two glasses of milk]

Steve: We’re all set for our snack, Blue.

[Blue barks as she jumps up and down]

Steve: Got our cups of milk with straws right here.

[Blue jumps up and licks Steve's face as he sputters, she then drinks her milk, licks and smacks her lips, the elephants arrive]

Steve: Hey! (runs over to the viewers) Look who's here? It’s the elephants. Right! Remember how we helped them paint their family?

[Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper arrive with the shaped foods]

Steve: Oh, look, it’s Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper. Right, they brought the food we helped to put away.

[Blue barks as the chicks appear]

Steve: Oh, look, it’s the chicks. Remember all those hats? What a day!

[Blue barks as Steve walks back into the living room]

Steve: Hey, thank you so much for all your help today. (gives the viewers a thumbs up)

(singing)

Now it's time for so long!

But we'll sing just one more song.

Thanks for doing your part,

You sure are smart,

You know, with me and you and my dog, Blue.

Steve and Kids: (singing, in unison) We can do anything that we wanna do!

Steve: Bye-bye! See you later! Bye! Come again! Bye-Bye!

Kids: That we wanna do!

[The camera pans away from the house as the door closes, Blue appears from the window as she waves goodbye]

Kids: We can do anything!
