Kids: There she is!

[Blue comes out of her hiding spot and barks happily]

Steve: Come on in!

[Blue throws the ball over to Mailbox before throwing it back at her, Blue barks before running through the doggy door]

[Steve opens the door and is wearing a snorkel mask]

Steve: (nose pinched) Hi! I'm so glad you're here on this great summer day! Oh. (giggles) I should probably take this off. (he takes the mask off, normal voice) There. Hey, you can help us get ready to go to the beach. Come on! (starts walking as he goes to find Blue, calling) Blue! Look who's here to join us today! Blue?

[Blue peeks behind the their fish tank with two little fish inside]

Steve: (to the viewers) Um, have you seen Blue?

Kids: She’s right there!

Steve: Where?

[Steve turns around and sees Blue and thinks she's inside the fish tank, then he takes a closer look on the side]

Steve: Blue?

Blue: (barks "Hello.")

Steve: (knocks on the tank) How did you get in there?

[Blue comes out from behind the tank and goes to their beach bag, Steve sees that she was actually behind the fish tank not inside, Steve joins Blue who is putting her toy sand shovel in their beach bag]

Steve: Hey, did you find all your favorite beach toys?

Blue: (barks "Yes.")

Steve: Great. Now we're all set to go to the beach! We have your beach toys, we have your towel, (nose pinched) my snorkel mask…

Blue: (barks "No.")

Steve: No? We don't have everything to go to the beach?

[Blue shakes her head no]

Steve: Well, what else do we need to bring to the beach?

[Blue leaves a pawprint on the left side of the screen]

Steve: Oh, okay! (runs over to the pawprint) That's a great idea, Blue! We’ll play "Blue's Clues" to figure it out.

(singing)

We are gonna play Blue’s Clues, 'cause it’s a really fun game, yeah!

Steve: So remember, Blue’s pawprints will on the clues. Blue’s Clues. Oh, yeah. (giggles) You're right. We should probably clean this pawprint off. (gets a striped beach towel and wipes the pawprint off, humming) Hey, you know what we need for Blue’s Clues? Our handy-dandy…

Kids: Notebook!

Steve: Right. Come on.

[Steve runs over to Sidetable Drawer]

Sidetable Drawer: Blue’s Clues, I’m so excited! (opens up her drawer)

Steve: Ooh! (gets out the notebook) Here it is! You know, I can tell I'm really gonna need your help today, figuring out what else we need to bring to the beach. Will you help me? You will? Great!

[Start of song]

Steve: (singing)

We got to find a paw print,

That's the first clue.

We put it in our notebook,

And now what do we do?

Steve, Mr. Salt & Mrs. Pepper: (singing)

Blue's Clues,

Blue's Clues!

Kids: Blue's Clues!

Steve: (singing)

We got to find another paw print,

That's the second clue.

We put it in our notebook,

Now what do we do?

Blue's Clues,

Blue's Clues!

Kids: Blue's Clues!

Steve: (singing)

We got to find another paw print,

That's the third clue.

We put it in our notebook,

And well, you know what to do!

Everyone: (singing)

Blue's Clues,

Blue's Clues!

Kids: Blue's Clues!

Steve: (singing)

Well, we sit down in our Thinking Chair

And think, think, think!

'Cause when we use our minds,

And take a step at a time,

We can do anything...

Blue: Bow!

Steve: That we want to do! (does jazz hands)

[Song ends]

[Blue pops in from the right side and leaves]

Steve: (to the viewers) Did you see which way Blue went?

Child: She went that way.

Steve: Oh, that way? Blue, swam that way? Okay, great. Let's go. (pretends to swim to the bedroom as he starts singing) We are swimming for Blue's Clues, we are swimming for Blue's Clues, we are swimming for Blue's Clues. I wonder where they are?

[Steve swims around near the bed and Tickety Tock, looking for the first clue]

Steve: What was that?

Kids: A clue! A clue!

Steve: Oh! You see a clue. Where? (tries to look up) On my head? (he moves his hands over his head thinking the clue is there)

Child: Bed!

Steve: Oh! (chuckles) The bed, right. (he gets on the floor and looks under the bed, but that wasn't where the clue was) Under the bed? Well, there's no clue here.

Child: On top of the bed.

Steve: Oh, oh. On top of the bed. (spots the clue on top of the bed on a basket and gasps) There it is, one of Blue’s Clues!

Tickety: On top of the bed!

Steve: Yeah, on top of the bed. Right. It's a clue! Now what do we do? Right. Let's write this clue down, in our handy-dandy…

Kids: Notebook!

Steve: Notebook. (takes out his notebook)

Tickety: Notebook!

Steve: So, we have a… We have a, a… What is this clue?

Child: A basket.

Steve: A basket, right. (starts drawing the basket) An oval, a semicircle, the handle, and we have a basket.

[An image of a basket pops up on the top left corner]

Steve: Hmm. So, we're trying to figure out what else we need to bring to the beach. Well, what could Blue want to do with a basket? Think we need find two more Blue’s Clues to figure this out.

[Steve gets up finds Blue at the bedroom closet]

Steve: What are you doing, Blue?

[Blue tells him what she's doing]

Steve: (to the viewers) Oh. Trying to figure out what to wear to the beach, huh? Okay. (they both look in the closet) Hmm. Can you help us figure out what Blue needs to wear to the beach? Okay. We’ll do this first, and then we'll go look for more Blue’s Clues. Come on.

[Steve and Blue go up to the closet]

Steve: Hm. So, what should… (Blue's winter coat, bathing suit, pajamas and a suit with leggings on the hangers jingle) What should Blue wear to the beach?

Child: That one.

Steve: (points to Blue's pajamas) These? The pajamas?

Child: No!

[Blue shakes her head no]

Kids: The bathing suit.

Steve: (points to Blue's bathing suit) Oh, the bathing suit.

[Blue barks as she nods her head in agreement]

Steve: (continued) So, Blue can go…

Kids: Swimming!

Steve: Swimming. (pretends to swim)

[Blue takes her bathing suit off the hanger]

Steve: Great! Now all we need is something for your feet. (they both look at the four pairs of shoes) What shoes... (on the top shelf and the floor, Blue's snow boots, rain boots, sandals and shoes with straps stomp a bit) What shoes should Blue wear to the beach?

Kids: Right there.

Steve: (points to the rain boots) These? The rain boots?

Kids: No! The sandals!

Steve: Oh, the sandals.

[Blue takes her sandals]

Steve: For when it's hot. I call them flip flops.

[Blue barks and then leaves]

Steve: There goes Blue, let's go, too. (he walks into the living room and Blue hides in their beach bag as Steve comes in, then he turns to the viewers) Keep an eye out for more Blue’s Clues.

Kids: There's Blue! Blue!

Steve: (runs back quickly) You saw another clue? Blue? (turns around and then back to the viewers) Oh, Blue’s hiding. Okay. I got it.

[Steve goes toward their beach bag and gets on the floor and looks behind the fish tank where Blue was earlier, but she wasn’t there, Steve stands back up]

Steve: (calling) Blue, where are you?

[Steve listens to the viewers and then he goes to their beach bag to look, Steve gets down low on the floor again and thinks he sees her in there]

Steve: Blue?

Blue: (barks "Hello.")

Steve: Is that you?

(Blue comes out and knocks out Steve’s sunglasses, a sand shovel, and a blanket with another clue on it, and she licks Steve on the face and then leaves)

Kid: A clue! A clue!

Steve: (laughs) Yeah. She's pretty funny that Blue.

(Steve crawls a little closer to the viewers)

Steve: Did you say, a clue? Where? Where?

Kids: Right there!

(Steve sees the clue on the blanket)

Steve: Ah! There it is! Our second clue! Okay, (he sits on the floor with his legs crossed) so, we have to write this down, in our handy-dandy…

Kids: Notebook!

Steve: Notebook. (hums) Okay. So, our second Blue’s Clue, is this, this…

Kid: Blanket.

Steve: Blanket, right.

Steve drawing: Squiggly lines, kinda like a square, and a whole lot of little squiggly squares inside.

Steve: Okay. So our first clue is…

Kid: A basket.

Steve: A basket, right. And now we have a blanket. Hm. So, we're trying to figure out what else we need to bring to the beach. So, what could Blue want to do, with a basket and a blanket? I think we need to look for a last blue's clues. to figured this out.

Chorus: Mail Time, Mail Time, Mail Time, Mail Time, MAIL TIME!

Steve: The mail’s here! Come on! Here’s the mail, it never fails. It makes me want to wag my tail. When it comes, I want to wail, MAIL!

(Mailbox comes in wearing his sunglasses and Steve sits in the Thinking Chair)

Mailbox: Mail’s in, mail’s in. Get your mail while it's hot.

(Mailbox opens and Steve gets his letter.)

Steve: Thanks, Mailbox.

Mailbox: You're welcome!

Steve: We just got a letter. We just got a letter We just got a letter We just got a letter Wonder who it's from?

Steve: Oh, look. It's a letter from our friends. Hi!

Children: Hi, Steve! We're practicing swimming.

(she puts her mouth underwater and blows bubbles)

Teacher: (to boy paddling with arms at him) Reach out, reach and touch my hands. That’s it. Reach out, good.

Boy: I can go underwater. (he goes underwater and back up)

[The teacher pushes a boy to the wall of the pool as he holds his arms in front of him]

Girl: My turn! My turn!

(the boy reaches to wall)

Boy: (breathing) I did it!

Everyone: Bye!

(Steve closes the letter)

Steve: Hey, we still need to look for our last Blue's Clue so can figured out what else do you we to bring to the beach!

Mrs. Pepper: Of course. We’ll try it.

Steve: Yeah, yeah. Just put the straw in the water, and see if it sinks or floats.

Mr. Salt: Okay.

Mrs. Pepper: Okay.

Steve: Well, what do you think? Will the straw, sink to the bottom, or float on top?

(Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper take the straw to the sink full of water and puts it in)

Kid: It's gonna float!

(they both gasp)

Steve: The straw floats! Would you look at that!

Mrs. Pepper: I knew it.

Mr. Salt: Yes. Well, I knew you knew it.

Steve: Hey, so glad we can help. Good job. (he comes around to the viewers)  You are really good at this. (chuckles) Hey, let's go look for more Blue’s clues so we can go to the beach.

Mr. Salt: Wait!

Mrs. Pepper: Wait!

Both: One more thing!

(Steve goes back to them)

Mrs. Pepper: Will this paper cup, sink or float?

Steve: Hmm. Well, what do you think? Will the paper cup sink to the bottom, or float on top?

(Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper take the paper cup to the sink and puts it in the water)

Kid: Float!

(they both gasp)

Steve: The paper cup floats! (comes to the viewers) You really know your physics. Now let's go look for more Blue’s clues.

Both: Thanks for all your help!

Steve: Hey, you're welcome. Good job. And you too, you sink and float experts.

(Steve leaves and then Blue skidoos into a postcard on the refrigerator)

Steve: Hey, did you see that? Blue just went right into that postcard. Ooh. It's a postcard of an island. You think we should go too? Okay! Blue skidoo, we can, too. To the postcard I go!

(Steve skidoos into the postcard and is now on the island)

Steve: Wow! Look at this island! Beautiful. (he hears something) This way.

(Steve then go to the water. Blue is on a swim ring and is with Starfish, Octopus, and Seahorse. Steve comes in with his socks and shoes off and his pants rolled up a bit. Then he sits on a rock and dips his feet in the water)

Steve: Hey, it's Blue! With Starfish and her friends. Hello.

Starfish: Hi. We need help getting to the playground.

Octopus: Yeah.

Seahorse: Uh huh.

Starfish: Do you see which way I should go?

Steve: Which part of the coral reef do you think Starfish would fit through?

(Starfish swims up to the first part of the coral reef with three holes that were shaped like a triangle, a diamond, and a star)

Kid: That one. Yeah.

(Starfish goes through the star shaped hole and she made it to the slide)

Steve: Hey, you found the way for Starfish. Look at that! Okay. Let's help you next, Octopus.

Octopus: Okay. Do you see the way I should go?

Steve: What part of the coral reef do you think, Octopus could fit through?

(Octopus swims up to the second part of the coral reef with three holes that were shaped like an octopus shape, a small circle, and an oval)

Kid: Right, there. Yeah, that's it.

(Octopus goes through the left hole and he gets on the swing)

Steve: You did it again! Cool.

Seahorse: Me next? Okay. I want to play on the seesaw.

Steve: Which part of the coral reef do you think Seahorse could fit through?

(Seahorse swims up to the last part of the coral reef with three holes with different sized curls. She had to find the one that's the same shape as her curly tail)

Kid: The middle! The middle!

(Seahorse was able to fit through the one in the middle)

Seahorse: Whee!

(Seahorse joins with Starfish and Octopus on the seesaw together)

All: Yay! Thanks!

(Blue was back on the island and then Steve comes in putting his shoes back on and his pants were still rolled up)

Steve: You did a really good job.

(Blue skidoos back to the kitchen)

Steve: There goes Blue!

(Steve does the skidoo dance and then he skidoos back to the kitchen. When he got back, he starts rolling down his pants on his left leg)

Kids: A clue, a clue!

Steve: A pool? Oh, yeah, love to swim. (he rolls down other part of his pants)

Kids: No!

Kid: It's a clue!

Steve: Oh! (comes up to the viewers) You see a clue? A clue? A clue right here in the kitchen? (points to the right) Over here?

(Steve turns the other way and he sees the clue on the counter on a sandwich)

Steve: (gasps) There it is, our third clue! And it's a… Sandwich? Okay! We know what to do. We need our handy-dandy…

Kid: Notebook!

Steve: Notebook. (gets ready to draw) Okay.

Steve drawing: One piece of bread, the cheese, and the other piece of bread. There, a sandwich.

Steve: (closes notebook) That would be our third clue. Our last clue! You know what that means? We are ready for our…

Kids: Thinking Chair!

Steve: Thinking Chair!

(Steve sits in the Thinking Chair)

Steve: Ah. Now that we're in our, Thinking Chair, let's think. (opens notebook) Okay. Now, we need to figure out what else we need to bring to the beach. Our, (Blue comes up from behind the Thinking Chair) Blue’s Clues are: a basket, a blanket, and a sandwich. Well, what could Blue want, with a basket, a blanket, and a sandwich? Ooh, ooh. Could she want to bury a sandwich and a basket in the sand, and then cover it up with the blanket? Just, cover it.

Kids: No!

Steve: Well, what if, what if we put the sandwich in the basket? Then we would have, a, a sandwich in a basket, and a blanket. Well, if we sit on the blanket, and eat the sandwich, then we would have…

Kid: A picnic.

Steve: A picnic. A picnic lunch. A picnic lunch! That's it! That's brilliant! Blue wants us to bring a picnic lunch to the beach! A basket to carry everything, a blanket to sit on, and sandwiches to eat! We just figured out Blue’s Clues!

(Steve gets up)

Steve: We just figured out Blue's Clues We just figured out Blue's Clues We just figured out Blue's Clues Cause we're really smart!

Steve: Blue, I'm gonna fix our picnic lunch, so we can go to the beach!

(Steve comes up to the kitchen door with their picnic lunch in a basket, with a blanket and sandwiches)

Steve: We are going to the beach, We are going to the beach, We are going to the beach, To play, and swim, and eat

(Steve then goes to their backyard beach. The backyard was covered with sand and then pool was the water)

Steve: Isn't our beach great? (he notices Blue) Oh. Hey, Blue. Look at Blue! In her little bathing suit and flip flops.

(Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper come in on to the lifeguard stand wearing their sunglasses)

Steve: Look! Look who came to the beach with us. It's Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper.

Both: This cup will float!

Steve: Float.

(Starfish, Octopus, and Seahorse come into the pool)

Steve: Oh, and look. It's our sea friends we helped.

Starfish, Octopus & Seahorse: Whee!

(Blue joins with them in the pool, Mr. Salt blows a whistle and Steve has their picnic all set out)

Steve: What a great day for a picnic at the beach!

(Blue hops out of the pool and eats a sandwich. Then Steve realized it's time for So Long)

Steve: Oh, come on.

(Steve gets up and heads inside for So Long)

Steve: Hey, thank you so much for all your help today. Now It's time for So Long. But, we'll sing just one more song. Thanks for doing your part. You sure are smart. You know, with me and you and my dog, Blue. We can do anything
